Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Route Manager to lead a team of route supervisors and drivers in Broadview Heights, OH. The role focuses on safety, on-time service, and customer satisfaction across multiple routes.

You will hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff, dispatch daily assignments, monitor productivity, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining detailed records and reporting on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; GED preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card required.
• Must be 19+ with clean driving record.
• Ability to read maps and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee personnel needs of the line of business to ensure an adequately trained workforce to meet collection requirements.
• Manage daily activities and performance of route supervisors and drivers.
• Train and direct employees to improve performance.
• Dispatch daily assignments as needed.
• Monitor and enforce safety and quality standards and compliance goals.
• Ensure completion of daily routes and productivity targets.
• Maintain route sheets and service new customers.
• Conduct performance evaluations and attendance tracking.
• Maintain records including compliance and personnel files.
• Perform driver observations and vehicle inspections.
