Job summary

Continental is seeking a Route Manager to lead Market and Vending operations, optimizing routes, retaining drivers, ensuring compliance, and keeping fleets safe. The role involves coordinating between central support and field teams to deliver excellent guest experiences and efficient service.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in route management or distributed operations, a strong analytical background, and proven leadership in a fast-paced food service or retail vending setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, sales, or equivalent is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in route management, field operations, or logistics in food services or retail vending.
• Proven leadership experience with teams in distributed, route-based businesses.
• Strong analytical skills to optimize routes, manage KPIs and drive efficiency improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Route Optimization: ensure assets are efficiently scheduled and fulfilled; collaborate with scheduling and product teams.
• Employee Retention & Development: lead recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Market and Vending Procedure Compliance: ensure SOP adherence; audit operations; train staff; coordinate with Marketing for brand consistency.
• Fleet & Driver Safety: enforce safety policies; monitor fleet health; driver safety training; ensure DOT regulatory compliance.
• Location/Logistics duties: safe vehicle entry/exit; loading/unloading; physical requirements and route coverage as needed.
