Job summary

Continental Services is seeking a Route Manager in Akron to lead our Market and Vending operations. You will optimize routes, manage drivers, and ensure exceptional guest experiences while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years in route management or logistics, a valid driver’s license, and strong analytical and communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a commitment to high-quality service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of route management, field operations, or logistics experience in food services or retail vending.
• Proven leadership experience with distributed teams.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Technology-savvy with routing software and Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive route optimization to ensure efficient asset scheduling and client satisfaction.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of drivers and field staff.
• Ensure SOP compliance, food safety and merchandising standards across markets.
• Maintain fleet and driver safety with DOT regulatory adherence.
• Collaborate with scheduling, marketing, and product teams to optimize routes and service levels.
