Job summary

American Food & Vending is seeking a Customer Service Manager to oversee route service and customer relationships within a defined territory. You will coach, train, and guide Route Drivers to ensure efficient, professional service aligned with company standards.

Responsibilities include supervising daily routes, conducting visits, training drivers on safety, merchandising, inventory control, and food safety, while maintaining compliance with DOT/FMCSA rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable leadership in food logistics or transportation preferred.
• Experience in route operations, vending, food service, warehouse management, inventory control, or customer service leadership preferred.
• Strong leadership to coach, motivate, and develop employees.
• Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems and handheld route technology; VMS/WMS/TMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist Route Drivers with daily routes, schedules, customer accounts, and route coverage.
• Train and coach Route Drivers on procedures, customer service expectations, equipment use, and route efficiency.
• Conduct regular customer visits to maintain relationships and identify opportunities.
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness, presentation, functionality, and readiness.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, DOT/FMCSA requirements, and company policies.
