Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling, a leading waste and recycling provider in Columbus, OH, is seeking an Operations Coordinator. The role supports supervisors, dispatchers, and route planners with data entry, routing analysis, and customer communications.

You will interact with internal teams and customers, manage route data, and assist in maintaining up-to-date maps and purchase orders. Strong organization and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior Administrative Assistant experience is preferred.
• Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications; AS400 experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of office functions and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Coordinate with sales and operations on missed stops and customer issues.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Analyze and edit routes using routing software.
• Review driver paperwork for residential/commercial routes.
• Monitor and edit route sheet information as needed.
• Troubleshoot missed customers with Route Managers and Dispatchers.
• Act as liaison to resolve routing and service issues.
• Review daily activities and productivity of route drivers.
• Assist with maps updates and accuracy.
• Create and track purchase orders for various lines of business.
• Communicate with accounts payable for timely invoices.
• Use dispatch software, GPS, and related tools.
• Dispatch, route and complete container data entry.
• Back up scale operator and inventory roles as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
