Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to coordinate daily waste collection operations and ensure on-time route completion while maintaining safety and compliance. You will monitor driver locations, assign routes, and communicate route changes, incidents, and service requests to drivers and management.

You will collaborate with Operations Managers, Route Supervisors, and Maintenance staff to minimize disruptions, maintain accurate records, and generate performance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• Experience in dispatch/logistics or waste management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and assign routes based on daily operational needs.
• Monitor vehicle locations, route progress, and service completion.
• Communicate with drivers regarding route changes, delays, service requests, incidents, and emergencies.
• Coordinate with Operations Managers, Route Supervisors, and Maintenance personnel to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure timely completion of residential, commercial, and municipal routes.
• Respond to customer service issues and provide prompt resolution or escalation when necessary.
• Maintain records of route activity, driver assignments, and requests; generate reports.
• Track missed/extra pickups and special service requests; use GPS/fleet software.
• Assist with scheduling driver coverage for vacations and absences.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety procedures; maintain performance reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.
