Job summary

UniFirst Corp. is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in on delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable.

You will learn multiple routes, load and deliver garments, and maintain strong customer relationships with professional communication. In this role you will collaborate with Service and Management Teams, support new account installations, and help with route efficiency while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service completed.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfortable using and learning new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver garments and products to customers, loading and unloading safely.
• Provide excellent customer service with clear, positive communication.
• Resolve customer requests independently while maintaining satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory checks, and keep vehicle clean.
• Follow all safety policies and traffic laws to ensure safety.
• Support route installations and assist RSRs on routes; upsell when appropriate.
• Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local market activity.
