Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will learn multiple routes, load and deliver garments, and maintain customer relationships with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates are proactive, agile, and enjoy variety, with a valid driver's license, DOT readiness, and excellent customer service. The role offers a Monday–Friday day shift and opportunities to contribute to route improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver garments and products to customers, safely loading and unloading items and handling returns.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong customer relationships through positive interactions.
• Resolve customer requests independently using problem-solving skills to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
• Follow traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies for safety.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams to support new account installations and route rerouting, with upsell opportunities.
• Share customer feedback and competitor activity with location leadership.
