Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in on delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable and to learn multiple routes for reliable service.

You will deliver garments and products to customers, handle returns, and maintain invoices while upholding safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes autonomy with teamwork across service, production, and sales.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT physical exam requirements.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Cover delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Load and unload items safely; manage returns of used or soiled garments.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Maintain invoices, conduct simple inventory checks, and keep vehicle clean and safe.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Assist with new account installations and rerouting efforts as needed.
• Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local competition.
