Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I – LUH-72 A&P to perform maintenance on helicopters, excluding full system repairs, following manuals and safety procedures. You will remove/install subsystems, service and lubricate aircraft, and prepare aircraft for inspections.

This role requires precise troubleshooting within established maintenance tasks. Candidates must hold FAA A&P certification, meet experience requirements, and be able to work various shifts.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate required.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience.
• Two years rotary wing aircraft experience.
• Two years on the assigned MDS; last six years.
• Valid driver’s license; own tools with PID-etched toolbox.
• Ability to work day, swing, night shifts, and weekends as needed.
• Eligible to obtain a passport and travel internationally.
• Must TDY per CBA; follow safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, and transmissions.
• Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Performs scheduled inspections and assists in special inspections.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft subsystems with required tools.
• Uses tools and aircraft ground support equipment; maintains records.
