Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I for LUH-72 A&P work in California. The role involves maintenance on helicopters per manuals and safety procedures, with focus on rotorcraft systems.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, FAA A&P certificate, and 3+ years aviation maintenance experience (2+ years on rotary wing platforms), with willingness to travel and work varied shifts. Competitive benefits apply under the CBA.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate required.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience and two years rotary wing experience within the last six years.
• Must be able to obtain a passport and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and flight controls.
• Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Perform scheduled inspections and assist in special inspections.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting subsystems using tools and equipment.
• Maintain and use tools and ground support equipment.
• Prepare forms and records related to maintenance.
• Work shifts including day, swing, night, and weekends as required by CBA.
