Amentum is seeking an LUH72 Aircraft Mechanic I to troubleshoot and repair aircraft structures, engines, and subsystems. The role requires reading technical manuals, performing inspections, and using specialized tooling—torque wrenches, micrometers, and precision equipment.

You must be prepared to maintain protective records and operate in varying environments. Eligibility includes FAA A&P certification and the ability to obtain facility credentials; US citizenship is required for credentials.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P Certification required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization at this work site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, and systems.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and components using hand and power tools.
• Reads maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair methods and feasibility.
• Performs aircraft inspections and tests engines and components with testing equipment.
• Maintains maintenance records and may supervise jacking and towing operations.
