Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III (LUH-72) A&P in California to perform helicopter maintenance per manuals and procedures. The role includes removing/installing subsystems, servicing subs, inspections, and assisting diagnostics.

Required: High School Diploma, valid A&P license, 5 yrs aviation and rotary wing experience, military tech training, own tools, and ability to travel per CBA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training; education level must be certified.
• Five years aviation maintenance experience and five years rotary wing experience within the last ten years.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license.
• Must provide own tools; toolbox shadowed and etched with PID.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and components.
• Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft subsystems using required tools and equipment.
• Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
• Maintain and manage tool inventory and shop safety.
