Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform comprehensive maintenance on LUH-72 helicopters, including removal/installation of engines, rotors and mechanical flight controls, lubrication, and subsystem checks. You will prepare aircraft for inspections and perform scheduled and special inspections according to manuals and directives.

Requirements include a valid FAA A&P certificate, a high school diploma, and the ability to work day, swing, night, or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• FAA A&P Certificate Required.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing, and two years on the assigned MDS within the last six years.

Responsibilities

• Remove/install aircraft subsystem assemblies (engines, rotors, gearboxes).
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems; perform inspections.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks; diagnose subsystems.
• Lead teams on complex tasks when required; maintain aircraft logs and records.
