Job summary

Air Methods in Dallas seeks an RW IFR Check Airman to oversee safety, qualification, and training for helicopter and fixed-wing pilots during evaluations. You will conduct training in classrooms, aircraft, or flight simulators, ensuring compliance with the General Operations Manual.

Responsibilities include initial and recurrent ground and flight training, ROC/transition checks, schedule development, and maintaining pilot records as required by FARs.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to implement training programs (initial and recurrent training).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate safety, flight operations, and maintenance procedures per the General Operations Manual.
  • Conduct initial and recurrent ground and flight training.
  • Manage transitions, ROC checks, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Help develop and implement flight and ground training schedules.
  • Ensure standardized training and checking procedures are followed.
  • Assist in maintaining pilot records in accordance with FARs and policies.
