Job summary

Air Methods Corporation is seeking a FW Check Airman to serve as a company instructor responsible for oversight, safety, and qualification for helicopter and/or fixed-wing pilots undergoing evaluation. The role includes conducting training and flight checks in classroom, aircraft, or flight simulator settings.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CFI/CFII rotor wing or willingness to obtain within one year; ATP rating preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate safety, flight operations, maintenance operations, and procedures per the General Operations Manual.
• Conduct initial and recurrent ground and flight training.
• Develop and implement flight and ground training schedules.
• Ensure standardized training and checking procedures are followed.
• Assist in pilot record-keeping and reporting per regulations.
