Job summary

NANA Management Services, LLC seeks a Security Officer for the Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas in Deering, Alaska. The role prioritizes safety, monitors premises, de-escalates incidents, and maintains secure access control to protect staff and visitors.

This is a 1 week on, 1 week off rotational position with on-call duties and a required ten-day training in Kotzebue, AK. Lodging and transportation are provided for new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass State of Alaska background check and obtain the Alaska Guard License.
• Must cooperate and work as part of a team.
• Must make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Must be on feet for 8–12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Must meet safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors assigned areas via visual, electronic, or audible methods.
• De-escalates incidents to ensure safety of staff and customers.
• Checks doors, windows, and facilities to ensure security.
• Reports property damage and unusual occurrences per policy.
• Assists in event setups and clinic preparations.
• Notifies on-site personnel of visitors and coordinates responses to emergencies.
• May be on-call outside normal hours as scheduled.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
