Job summary

Linde Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a 2027 Entry Level Chemical Engineer for the Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP).

The program spans 52 weeks, providing broad exposure to plant operations across multiple product lines including air separation and hydrogen, with hands-on work from startups to maintenance and safety program execution. You will monitor efficiency, optimize operating modes, and support QA, regulatory, and project execution while collaborating with process engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA strongly preferred.
• Zero to three years of experience demonstrated through internships or co-ops.
• Strong communication, cross-functional relationship building, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 52-week curriculum with broad exposure to plant operations across multiple product lines.
• Hands-on operations including start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, project planning, training, troubleshooting, safety program execution, and daily plant support.
• Operate process equipment via control systems and in the field (motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation, utilities).
• Monitor efficiency and energy use; optimize operating modes to improve plant performance.
• Support QA, regulatory compliance, distribution and operations; execute projects within budgets and schedules.
• Collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operations teams; participate in leadership development.
