Omni Hotels is seeking candidates for its Rooms Leader-in-Development program in Irving, TX. This 12-month program develops recent graduates into successful managers, with a strong emphasis on front office and housekeeping operations.

Participants work 40 hours weekly in their department and complete 10 hours of Learning Commitments during the training period. Throughout the program, LIDs will engage with division heads, HR leadership, and a corporate mentor, while gaining hands-on experience

• Will learn and perform all aspects of Front Office and Housekeeping operations
• Oversees the performance of staff and takes corrective actions when necessary
• Scheduling of staff
• Maintains accurate payroll records to ensure staff are paid correctly
• Cleaning and inspecting guest rooms
• Responds to guest requests and complaints as required
• Monitor product inventory and order additional products as necessary
• Interviewing and selection of staff
• Follow up on established training steps.
• Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
• Ensures that all housekeeping and Front Office operations are performed according to Omni Hotels standards
• Will be responsible for meeting with the Division head weekly, the Director of Human Resources each month, and the corporate mentor bi-monthly
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Informs and/or updates the executives, the peers, and subordinates on relevant Information in a timely manner.
• Functions in the place of the Front Office Manager in his/her absence
• Communicates critical information from pre- and post- convention meetings to the Front Office staff.
• Participates in department meetings and provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
