Job summary

The JW Marriott Las Vegas Reserve Operation is seeking a Rooms Controller to manage and track all room inventory. You will coordinate with the front desk, housekeeping, and engineering to prepare group and VIP rooms and handle special requests while upholding brand standards.

Daily responsibilities include ensuring accurate group resumes, maintaining room inventory, and supporting front desk operations with excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be literate and able to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or GED; college or technical training preferred.
• Minimum six months experience in hotel front office operations.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail.
• Experience with money handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assigns group, VIP and special request rooms.
• Communicates with front desk associates any special needs on a daily basis.
• Assists the front desk as needed in daily operations.
• Coordinates with Housekeeping and Engineering on room maintenance issues.
• Completes the Daily Rehearsal accurately, everyday.
• Uses group resumes to make sure front office is prepared for each group’s rooming needs.
• Ensures room inventory is properly maintained.
• Knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
• Communicates all pertinent information to Front Office Management.
• Ensures all daily tasks are completed.
