Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in Front Office, Reservations or Rooms Division in a hotel or resort.
• Familiarity with Opera or similar property management system preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reservations, room inventory, billing and routing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily room inventory and balance the house to maximize availability.
• Review arrivals and assign rooms based on type, preferences, VIP status and ops needs.
• Monitor inventory to minimize one-night gaps and optimize availability.
• Manage VIP placements and proper VIP coding for Amex and Virtuoso bookings.
• Balance Run of House group reservations and room-type allocations.
• Enter group rooming lists and process list changes and updates.
• Establish routing and billing instructions for group and transient reservations.
• Maintain accurate reservation notes and communications across departments.
• Review reservations three days prior to arrival for notes and requests.
• Assist Transient Sales with entering negotiated reservations in Opera.
• Support Director of Sales & Marketing with PR and other designated reservations in Opera.
• Manage Reservations inbox and respond to requests professionally.
• Coordinate external guest messaging with Expedia and Booking.com.
