Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, under Gate Hospitality Group, seeks an enthusiastic Room Service Department Trainer to lead onboarding, hands-on training, and ongoing colleague development. Work closely with leadership to ensure staff understand responsibilities and uphold service/operational standards.

Responsibilities include welcoming new colleagues, coaching on procedures, safety, and guest service, and coordinating training schedules while maintaining progress records.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hospitality experience; previous departmental training or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain procedures clearly and adapt training to different learning styles.
• A patient, approachable, and energetic personality.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with department leadership.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate job instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new colleagues and guide onboarding and training.
• Provide hands-on instruction on procedures, responsibilities, safety, and guest service.
• Demonstrate techniques and reinforce standards through coaching, observation, and constructive feedback.
• Coordinate training schedules with department leadership.
• Maintain accurate training checklists and records of colleague progress.
• Identify training needs and communicate recommendations to department leadership.
• Assist with refresher training and the introduction of new procedures, equipment, or service standards.
• Model professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional guest service.
• Support daily department operations while reinforcing training expectations.
