Job summary

The Sheridan Group is seeking an Assistant Print Production Technician (Rolltender) for 12-hour day shifts. The role involves setting up and operating offset presses, reading job instructions, installing plates, and ensuring quality through color and registration adjustments.

You will monitor production, perform basic maintenance, and work safely with a supportive team in a hands-on environment. Training is provided to build essential printing skills.

Qualifications

• Has a high school diploma or GED.
• Can read a tape measure and perform basic math, including fractions and decimals.
• Has mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with equipment.
• Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
• Can read and follow job specifications and make equipment adjustments as needed.
• Works well with others and has a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate single- and multi-color offset printing presses.
• Read job instructions and prepare the press for each project.
• Install printing plates, adjust registration, and prepare the press for production.
• Make color and quality adjustments to ensure outputs meet standards.
• Monitor equipment during production and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs to keep presses running smoothly.
• Work safely while collaborating with a supportive team.
