Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience entering data into computer systems and using the internet is required.
• ROI experience in a physician’s office or HIM department is a plus; HIPAA knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and obtaining patient data from multiple sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into ROI On‑Line database.
• Respond to and process physician office requests on a priority basis and fax information as needed.
• Log medical record requests into ROI On‑Line database.
• Scan medical records into ROI On‑Line database.
• Follow site policies and regulations; handle cash payments where required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications and internet use; work independently to meet production goals.
• Maintain dependability and attention to detail in daily tasks.
