Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to support patient information release requests at client sites across the United States. You will review requester data, gather patient records, and ensure HIPAA-compliant releases. The role involves answering inquiries, logging and scanning records, and coordinating with physician offices as needed.

We value careful data entry, strong communication, and dependability. Prior ROI experience in a health setting is a plus; a High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of data entry experience.
• Experience using computer applications and on-line databases.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred.
• Experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or HIM department is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review ROI requests and determine records to release in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Answer phone calls and assist walk-in customers with ROI inquiries.
• Log and process requests in the ROI On-Line database; scan and file records.
• Fax information to physician offices as needed and handle cash payments at sites where required.
• Operate independently and meet production goals; demonstrate strong attention to detail.
