Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to support client sites in processing Release of Information requests. You will determine records to release by HIPAA guidelines and collect patient data from various sources.

The role includes answering ROI questions by phone, assisting walk-in customers, logging and scanning records into ROI On-Line, and ensuring compliance with policies. A High School Diploma and data-entry experience are required; prior ROI/HIM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One+ years data-entry experience; internet use required.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• ROI/HIM experience a plus; knowledge of medical terminology
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review ROI requests and determine records to release per HIPAA guidelines.
• Answer calls regarding ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process requests from physician offices and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Handle cash payments at sites where applicable.
• Adhere to facility policies and regulations.
• Demonstrate proficient computer use and data entry; meet production goals.
