Job summary

Emerson Hospital is seeking an ROI Coordinator within the Health Information Management team to manage the release of patient information, ensuring privacy and compliance while coordinating with providers, patients, attorneys and insurers. Under supervision, you will prepare records for release, handle billing for copying fees, and arrange prompt delivery of records.

The role demands strong knowledge of privacy laws, attention to detail, and the ability to work on multiple projects independently

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in AHIMA approved program preferred.
• 1–3 years Health Information Management experience.
• RHIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the release of medical information to requesters while protecting patient privacy.
• Prepare correspondence and records for release; complete certificates for court and legal purposes; bill for copying fees.
• Arrange prompt delivery of records to the requester; interact with patients, attorneys, physicians, staff, and the public.
