Qualifications

• Associate degree in health information management or related field is required or two additional years of experience in lieu of degree
• One year of experience in health information management or related department is required
• Experience in release of information is preferred

Responsibilities

• Responds to internal and external requests for patient health information.
• Logs requests and tracks information released in the ROI system.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal privacy laws when releasing information.
• Provides excellent customer service while handling subpoenas, affidavits, and other directives.
