Job summary

The role reports to the Director of Health Information Management and requires coordination with patients, providers, attorneys, insurers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma; AHIMA-approved Health Information Technology program preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in Health Information Management.
• Certification: RHIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate release of medical information for all requesters.
• Prepare correspondence and records for release, ensuring patient privacy.
• Bill copying fees and arrange prompt delivery of records to requestors.
• Interact with patients, attorneys, physicians, staff and the public.
