Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a qualified candidate for the Release of Information governance role in the Health Information Management department. You will manage information flow from patient encounters to claims, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Primary duties include acting as liaison with the Release of Information vendor, serving as custodian of records, and representing CoxHealth in court proceedings when required. Collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and authorities is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's in HIM or related field.
• RHIA, RHIT, CHPS, CDIP or CCS within 1 year of hire.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee flow of information from patient encounter to claim submission.
• Ensure a complete and accurate medical record.
• Serve as custodian of records and liaison with the Release of Information vendor.
• Represent CoxHealth in court proceedings as required.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
