Job summary

Serve Robotics Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and validate complex hardware and software issues across our fleet of delivery robots.

You will work with minimal supervision to ensure fleet uptime and high-quality repairs, driving reliable documentation and data for engineering insights. You will perform advanced diagnostics, implement repair strategies, and ensure adherence to quality validations while supporting weekend shift needs and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of progressive technical experience in electro-mechanical, robotics, or related industries.
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex integrated systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, software diagnostics, etc.).
• Experience performing component-level testing and validation.
• Strong documentation discipline with experience in issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple repair streams independently.
• Flexibility to work weekends as part of a 5-day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software failures using structured troubleshooting frameworks.
• Develop and execute repair strategies for moderate-to-high complexity issues.
• Perform component- and sub-assembly-level testing to validate repair effectiveness.
• Reduce repeat repairs by identifying root causes and patterns.
• Escalate systemic or novel failures to engineering when needed.
• Maintain high standards of repair quality and throughput.
