Job summary

DoorDash Labs, the independent robotics team within DoorDash, is hiring an Associate Operations Manager to lead a team tackling real business problems with autonomous robotics. This role is 100% in-office and in-field in the Bay Area, reporting to the Operations Manager, CA.

You will rigorously track KPIs, build cross-functional relationships, and refine processes to maximize operational output while supporting incident response and strategic program decisions across the team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience.
• Experience leading a team of 10-50.
• Deep experience in autonomous vehicles and/or robotics.
• Strong communication skills – concise presentation to diverse audiences.
• An “And, not Or” mentality – balance quantity and quality in operations.
• Intrinsic motivation and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Belief in 1% better every day.

Responsibilities

• Rigorously tracking daily KPIs and maximizing output and supply availability.
• Establish strong relationships and followership with the Operations Manager, team leads, and co-located service team.
• Incorporate, adopt and refine daily/weekly processes for real-time operations.
• Build relationships with cross-functional partners to understand current state of operations and resource allocation.
• Contribute creative operational solutions to complex technical problems.
• Provide onsite leadership for incident response when things don’t match expectations.
• Bring clarity to uncertainty to enable tactical and strategic decision making.
