Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking an Associate Operations Manager to lead a robotics solutions team in the Greater Salt Lake Area with 100% in-office presence. You will drive KPI tracking, cross-functional collaboration, and operational discipline to solve real business problems.

You will manage a 10–50 person team, work with leaders across operations, engineering, and facilities, and contribute to autonomous technology programs with a focus on incremental improvements and incident leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in operations leadership.
• Deep experience in autonomous vehicles and/or robotics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated drive for 1% daily improvement in operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily KPIs and optimize supply availability.
• Lead and motivate a 10–50 person team and cross‑functional partners.
• Refine real‑time operations processes with other leaders.
• Collaborate with remote assistance, PM, facilities, and engineering teams to align resources.

Associate Operations Manager – DoorDash Labs

DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We are seeking an Associate Operations Manager to lead a robotics solutions team focused on solving real business problems. The role requires 100% in‑office presence in the Greater Salt Lake Area with limited travel to other markets if needed.

Responsibilities

• Rigorously track daily KPIs and collaborate with all operational facets to maximize output and commercial availability of supply.
• Establish strong relationships and followership with the General Manager, operations team managers, and a co-located service team; motivate the entire team to operate cohesively.
• Incorporate, adopt, and refine daily and weekly real‑time operations processes in close partnership with other leaders.
• Build strong relationships with cross‑functional partners, including remote assistance, technical program management, facilities, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand current operations and resource allocation.
• Contribute creative operational solutions to complex and ambiguous technical problems, unlocking the next major autonomy initiative.
• Provide onsite leadership and expertise for incident response when expectations are not met.
• Work effectively in gray space, bring clarity to uncertainty, and enable tactical and strategic decision making to advance the program.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in operations.
• Operational leadership experience managing a team of 10‑50 people.
• Deep experience in autonomous vehicles and/or robotics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to concisely present complex ideas to subordinates, peers, cross‑functional partners, and senior leadership.
