Job summary

DoorDash Labs is hiring an Associate Operations Manager to lead a robotics-focused operations team in the Bay Area. This role requires ensuring efficient execution, reporting to the CA Operations Manager, and being 100% in-office with some travel to new markets as needed.

You will drive daily KPI tracking, build cross-functional relationships, and implement real-time process improvements to unlock the next autonomy initiative. Strong leadership and robotics background are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in operations leadership.
• Experience leading a team of 10-50 people.
• Deep experience in autonomous vehicles and/or robotics.
• Strong communication skills; concise presentation of ideas to diverse stakeholders.
• Intrinsic motivation and ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Rigorously tracking daily KPIs and optimize output and availability.
• Build relationships with Ops Manager, team leads and co-located service team to drive unity.
• Establish and refine daily/weekly processes for real-time operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand current state and resource allocation.
• Provide onsite leadership for incident response when outcomes don’t match expectations.
• Navigate gray areas to enable tactical and strategic decision making and advance the program.
