Job summary

DoorDash Labs, the independent robotics team within DoorDash, is hiring an Associate Operations Manager to help lead a team working on robotics solutions solving real business problems. You will report to the General Manager and be 100% in-office and in-field throughout the Greater Salt Lake Area with limited travel to new markets as needed.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, leadership of 10–50 staff, and deep robotics expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in operations or robotics leadership.
• Experience leading a team of 10-50 people.
• Deep experience in autonomous vehicles and/or robotics.
• Strong ability to communicate concisely with diverse audiences.
• An “And not Or” mentality—balancing quantity and quality in operations.
• Intrinsic motivation and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Belief in 1% better every day.

Responsibilities

• Rigorously tracking daily KPIs and coordinating with operations to maximize output and supply.
• Establish relationships with the GM, operations leads, and co-located service teams to motivate the group.
• Refine daily/weekly processes for real-time operations and collaborate with leaders.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships with remote support, program management, facilities, and engineering.
• Propose creative operational solutions to complex technical problems and advance autonomy initiatives.
• Provide onsite leadership for incident response and guidance when results don’t meet expectations.
• Bring clarity in uncertain situations to enable tactical and strategic decision making.
