Actalent in Pittsburgh is seeking a Field Service Technician to deploy, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and sustain robotic and autonomous vehicle systems in customer environments. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and will involve extensive travel to support customer sites, demonstrations, testing activities, and deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field service experience with robotics/electromechanical systems.
• Strong ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in field environments.
• Familiarity with wiring, electrical diagnostics, and schematics.
• Basic networking and Linux command-line familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, maintain, and support robotic vehicles and equipment.
• Perform system setup, calibration, and readiness checks.
• Conduct pre/post-operation inspections and health assessments.
• Assist with field testing, customer demonstrations, and training exercises.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, software, networking, and vehicle issues.
• Diagnose failures and perform root-cause analysis in the field.
• Create detailed service reports and maintenance records.
• Travel 80-90% and act as primary technical contact during field operations.
