Job summary

Carnegie Robotics is seeking a Field Service Representative to deploy, operate, and sustain our rugged robotic systems in challenging environments.

This high-travel role requires 80-90% travel nationwide and internationally, with field troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, networking, software, and vehicle systems. You will work directly with customers, train operators, and collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure readiness and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with complex equipment, vehicles, robotics, or industrial systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and repair in the field.
• Familiar with Linux command-line environments.
• Ability to read technical documentation and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel 80-90% nationally and internationally.
• Valid driver's license and ability to tow trailers when required.

Responsibilities

• Travel 80-90% nationally and internationally to support deployments and training.
• Deploy, operate, maintain, and support Carnegie Robotics platforms and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, networking, software, sensor, and vehicle issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain readiness.
• Document failures, field observations, and technical details clearly.
• Provide direct technical support to customers in the field.
• Train customers and operators on system operation and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to resolve field issues.
