Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is hiring a Robotic Solutions Engineer (RSE), Field Service, for the Orlando, FL area. This role supports robotic medical systems in hospitals and manufacturing environments, including setup, installation, maintenance, and repair with a focus on uptime and patient safety.

You will troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, software domains, document activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel up to 80% locally is required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in field service or similar technical environments.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, software troubleshooting.
• Experience with installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, or repair activities.
• Basic understanding of regulated medical-device environments and safety expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform system setup, installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, repair, calibration, testing, upgrades, and de-installation for robotic medical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and system-performance issues using approved procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service needs to support uptime and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with hospital stakeholders for service visits and site readiness.
• Maintain service records, parts usage, time entries, and configuration data.
• Manage service tools, inventory, and assets per policy.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
• Provide clear status updates and communicate risks or delays to leadership.
