Amazon’s Robotics Technical Services (RTS) is seeking an on-site Field Hardware Support Engineer to join the team responsible for launch, maintenance, and optimization of advanced robotics systems across Amazon fulfillment networks. You will partner with regional teams, perform hardware audits, and design diagnostic tools to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
Experience in a 24/7 production environment and strong networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
Experience with Linux systems administration or development.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support for new product implementations and troubleshooting of advanced robotics.
Partner with site-level teams to maximize system performance and reliability.
Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical and system issues across RTS products.
Design tools, fixtures, and diagnostics to minimize downtime and speed maintenance.
Develop proactive monitoring to measure safety, reliability, and performance.
Create SOPs and maintenance protocols for the RTS product suite.
Lead training sessions for on-site teams and develop training content.
Manage spare parts processes and inventory control.
Produce performance reports and relay customer feedback to engineering.
Travel up to 50% to customer sites.
