Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks an Assembler II to join our South Chesterfield, VA production team. The role involves programming, operating, and troubleshooting automated and robotic machinery for sheet metal refrigerated cases.

You will read orders, select parts, use hand and power tools, measure components, and assemble units across multiple stations. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, squat or kneel.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an A order.
• Identify parts and placement on the product line.
• Identify tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Use hand or power tools for assembly.
• Identify parts and descriptions from work order.
• Use gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tapes, squares and measuring tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at various stations as needed by production.
• Contribute to team assembly until completion.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
