Dover Food Retail is hiring an Assembler II in South Chesterfield, VA for 1st shift (6am–2:30pm). The role involves programming, operating, and basic troubleshooting for automated and/or robotic machinery in the production of sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Responsibilities include reading orders, identifying parts, using hand/power tools, and assembling components while maintaining quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on manufacturing position with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling may be required.
• Read and comprehend work orders and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Assemble using hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and part descriptions from work orders.
• Use rulers, tape measures, metal squares and other measuring instruments.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Work as part of an assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
