Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler I for 1st shift in South Chesterfield, VA. You will program, operate, and troubleshoot automated/robotic machinery to assemble sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Responsibilities include identifying parts, reading work orders, and performing assembly with hand/power tools. The role requires a HS Diploma/GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and tolerance for production environment conditions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, chemicals, noise, and dust.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order and identify parts on the product line.
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information.
• Utilize measuring tools and read rulers, tapes, squares.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Operate across multiple stations and assemble units to completion.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
