Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II for our South Chesterfield, VA facility. The role focuses on programming, operating, and basic troubleshooting for automated and robotic machinery used in sheet metal refrigerated cases.

You will read orders, identify parts, and assemble components on the line. The position requires a HS Diploma or GED, previous manufacturing experience, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a production environment with temperature variations and noise.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, noise and dust.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an 'A' order.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product.
• Identify tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend work orders.
• Assemble parts using hand or power tools.
• Identify parts with work order information.
• Use material gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tapes, and measuring tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Collaborate with assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
