Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II for the 1st shift (6am–2:30pm) in South Chesterfield, VA. You will program, operate, and troubleshoot automated/robotic machinery for sheet metal refrigerated cases and assemble units to completion.

Requirements include a HS Diploma/GED and prior manufacturing experience; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise. Competitive hourly pay plus potential commissions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks with possible exposure to chemicals and noise.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product line.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order and measurements.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Collaborate with assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
