Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Systems Engineer for its Robotics Technology Deployment team to lead on-site deployment of industrial automation across North America stores. The role involves planning, installation, and go-live support for complex electro-mechanical and network systems.

You will travel up to 75% and relocate to required locations as needed, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SRE, systems engineering, DevOps, or network administration experience.
• 5+ years of Linux experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• You will manage the tactical deployment of large scale industrial automation technologies, tending from alpha/beta to GA.
• You will own the on-site coordination of installation and acceptance testing to meet go-live dates.
• You will collaborate with hardware engineering, program managers, product managers, and internal customers to refine deployment docs.
• You will improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• You will mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessment.
