Job summary

Amazon's Robotics Technology Deployment team is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer II to oversee the deployment of industrial automation across North America's fulfillment network. This on-site role requires coordinating installation, testing, and go-live across multiple sites while traveling extensively.

You will partner with hardware, software, safety, and operations teams to plan, execute, and refine deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site reliability engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience.
• 5+ years of Linux experience.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant work experience.
• Experience in Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage the tactical deployment of large scale industrial automation technologies.
• Own the onsite coordination of installation and acceptance testing to achieve go-live dates.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, product managers, and site teams to convert requirements into deployment documents.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• Independently resolve difficult technical problems during deployment.
• Create and improve standard work documents and SOPs.
• Influence internal and partner teams to meet goals.
• Develop subject matter expertise in deployment domains.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
