Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer II to deploy industrial robotics across North America's fulfillment network. The role involves planning, installation, and go-live of complex deployment projects with travel up to 75%, including relocation to multiple hubs.

You will work with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers while driving operational excellence. Relocation to Amazon locations in Seattle, Boston, Nashville or Austin may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
• 5+ years of Linux experience
• Experience in Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash or Shell or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Manage tactical deployment of large-scale industrial automation technologies from alpha to GA
• Own onsite installation coordination and go-live delivery for each project
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, TPMs, product managers, and site teams to produce deployment documents
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation
• Independently resolve difficult technical problems during deployment
• Create and improve standard work documents and automate team processes
• Influence internal and partner teams to meet goals
• Develop deployment domain subject matter expertise
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments
• Drive operational excellence initiatives with measurable results
