Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer to manage end-to-end rollout of large-scale industrial robotics in North America fulfillment centers. You will coordinate installations, guide acceptance testing, and ensure Go-Live readiness while collaborating with hardware, program managers, and operations teams.

Role emphasizes operational excellence, development of deployment guides, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years troubleshooting robotics systems or similar complex mechanical-electrical or networked systems.
• 5+ years project management related to deployment, retrofits or maintenance of large-scale robotics.
• 5+ years experience with project management and supply management tools for deployment work instructions and tasks.
• Experience with technical drawings or CAD models for deployment, maintenance or support.
• Ability to travel domestically 75% or more of the year.

Responsibilities

• Manage the tactical deployment of large scale industrial automation technologies from alpha/beta to GA.
• Own onsite coordination of installation and acceptance testing to hit go-live dates.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, PMs, product managers, and site teams to convert requirements into deployment documents.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• Independently resolve difficult technical problems during deployment, balancing time, quality, and resources.
• Create and improve standard work documents and operational guides; pursue process automation.
• Influence internal and partner teams to meet team goals.
• Develop subject matter expertise in deployment domains.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments.
