Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Deployment Engineer for its Robotics Technology Deployment team in North America. You will lead tactical deployment of large-scale industrial automation, coordinate onsite installation and testing, and collaborate with hardware engineering, TPMs, product managers and site operations to translate requirements into deployment plans.

You will optimize processes, mentor junior engineers, and drive operational excellence across projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of troubleshooting robotics systems or complex mechanical-electrical/networked systems.
5+ years in deployment, retrofits or maintenance of large-scale industrial robotics.
5+ years in use of project management and supply management tools.
Experience reading CAD models for deployment and maintenance.
Ability to travel domestically 75%+ of the year.

Responsibilities

Manage the tactical deployment of large scale industrial automation technologies, ranging in technical complexity from alpha/beta to GA.
Own the tactical execution (onsite coordination of installation and acceptance testing) to achieve the target go-live date for each project.
Collaborate with hardware engineering, TPMs, PMs and internal customers to translate requirements into deployment documents (schedules, SOPs, dependencies).
Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
Independently resolve difficult technical problems during deployment, balancing time, quality, and resources.
Create and improve standard work documents and operational guidebooks, aiming to automate processes.
Influence internal and partner teams towards meeting team goals.
Develop subject matter expertise in deployment domains.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments.
Drive operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
