Job summary

Amazon Robotics in Seattle seeks a Robotics Systems Engineer II for the Tech Deployment team. You will plan, install, and launch large-scale industrial automation across North America, coordinating with hardware, software, and field partners to drive on-site deployment.

This role combines hands-on integration with project management, requiring up to 75% travel and relocation as needed. You will mentor junior engineers and drive operational excellence in deployments across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, CS, or related field or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work with PLCs, SCADA systems, and network infrastructure.
• Ability to travel domestically 75%+ per year.
• 5+ years experience in troubleshooting robotics systems or other complex mechanical-electrical or networked systems.
• 5+ years experience in deployment/maintenance of large-scale industrial robotics.
• 5+ years experience in PM and supply management tools (BOMs, work instructions, task management).
• Experience with technical drawings and CAD models for deployment/maintenance of robotics.

Responsibilities

• Manage tactical deployment of large-scale industrial automation technologies from alpha to GA.
• Own on-site coordination of installation and acceptance testing to achieve go-live dates.
• Collaborate with hardware eng., TPMs, PMs, and internal customers to convert requirements into deployment documents.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• Resolve technical problems during deployment considering time, quality, and resources.
